This is hands down the best show I’ve seen all Summer. It is actually so good, that I doubt I will see a better musical this year. Trevor Nunn’s masterpiece is a beautiful piece of work with a heartwarming story, lovable characters, absolutely stunning vocals and flawless production values. The set is small but intimate, and the Playhouse Theatre is a perfect venue. Andy Nyman is brilliant as Teyve, an old fashioned Jewish man who is learning that the world around him is changing faster than he is willing to accept, and not always for the better.
