Works really well on the open air stage where the cast is often sitting on the sidelines observing the action. The sound is good as is the choreography. The fiddler plays a much more key role than is usual and it works, although I was less convinced by his being replaced on the roof by Chava with clarinet in the finale. Not all the roles have the vocal chops for some of the songs, but towering over them is Dannheiser as a sensational Tevye. All in all, a triumph and be prepared to wipe a few tears away!Read more →
