The Story Unfolds: Origins and Evolution

The Great Gatsby new musical transports audiences into the opulent and turbulent world of the 1920s. Based on F. Scott Fitzgerald’s iconic novel, the story follows Jay Gatsby, a wealthy and mysterious millionaire who throws extravagant parties in hopes of reuniting with his lost love, Daisy Buchanan. Narrated by Nick Carraway, a newcomer to Long Island, the tale unravels with themes of love, obsession, wealth, and the elusive American Dream.

The musical adaptation of The Great Gatsby made its highly anticipated debut at the Paper Mill Playhouse in New Jersey, shattering box office records and earning rave reviews. After this sold-out run, the show arrived on Broadway, where it continues to dazzle audiences before it transferred to London in April 2025.
